kate + kohl | backyard chicago wedding
Kate and Kohl were among the many couples that faced all the challenges of planning a wedding during a pandemic. They were originally set to get married in downtown Des Moines with about 300 of their closets friends. We had hopes their wedding day may still happen. With all the restrictions in place we knew 300 people was not feasible in Iowa in June. Kate and Kohl decided to change things up and get married at Kohl’s childhood in near Chicago. They decided to keep things small and intimate and we loved that about their day! They knew everyone at their wedding and it was truly about their love. The day started off very hot and it stormed in the morning, thank goodness we had a beautiful tent from Blue Peak Tents to keep us protected! The rain and skies cleared up in the afternoon just in time for their first and backyard wedding ceremony. Kohl said in his vows to Kate “ If it is one thing that this pandemic has taught us is that we have grown a lot and our love has grown more”Kate and Kohl decided It was the perfect day with the most perfect couple! We are so happy for them! Congratulations Kate and Kohl!
